Novalis Focused Radiation Therapy

For tumors that don't respond to either medical or surgical treatment, UCLA offers state-of-the-art focused radiation therapy. Novalis allows us to spare the normal tissue and concentrate radiation treatment directly inside the tumor to avoid disturbing any areas of the brain related to the tumor. That is the advantage of this procedure. The Novalis shaped beam stereotactic radiotherapy system was developed here at UCLA to provide a safe, precise and non-invasive alternative to surgery. It is the most technologically advanced system of its kind in the world and it's effective. Learn more about the Stereotactic Radio Surgery Program »
